ELEMENTS-OF-COMBAT
MARTIAL ARTS
INNER STRENGTH FOR OUTER POWER

I have been training in Martial Arts for over 34 Years, I started at the tender age of 13 years old studying Shotokan and Ryukyu-Kempo which was first shown to me by my late uncle Barry who studied various martial arts including Shotokan and Ryukyu-Kempo and boxing just to name a few. Barry taught me the first three Shotokan katas that he could remember out in my Nan`s back garden, and I used to stay with Barry at weekends and we would often watch Bruce Lee films and I was amazed and wanted to learn even more, so Barry took me to see Ronnie a friend of the family who has also studied various martial arts and I trained with him and Barry for awhile before I joined a club which is run by Professor Paul Bowman and I continued to study Shotokan and Ryukyu-Kempo, I then studied Kyusho-Jitsu "Pressure Point Fighting" and Healing under Professor Paul Bowman. Weapons which include Nunchaku's, Tonfa, Sai, Bo, Katana, Sword, Knife and Escrima. I would like to thank Professor Paul Bowman for everything that he has taught me and I am still continuing to learn and grow.
In 2003 I decided I wanted to open my own martial arts club, with the help from family and friends of family I thought of the name elements of combat martial arts because I do not teach just one system or style, I teach everything I have learnt combined into one. I would like to thank my uncle Barry for helping me with the club logo design, Jerry (a close friend of the family) who helped design and put all the flyers together as well as helping me get our first hall (Dojo) which at the time was in a prime location in the middle of our town, and my Mum who spent countless hours, days and weeks going out and meeting the public handing out flyers and helping to promote and spread the word that I was opening my club.
To me Martial Arts is not just a sport or hobby, it is a way of life.
